Poof-Slinky, Inc. Acquires Retro-product line from T-N-T International -- Deal Brings Frontier Logs, Fabulous Fiddlesticks into the Ideal Brand
May 5, 2005 (Beverly Hills, CA) In a move that adds recognized and branded retro products to its toy catalogue, Poof-Slinky, Inc. has acquired certain assets of toymaker T-N-T International of Waco, Texas, it was announced today by Ray Dallavecchia, President and CEO of Poof-Slinky of Plymouth, Michigan.
T-N-T is the manufacturer of Fabulous Fiddlestix, American Frontier Logs, and other retro products marketed primarily to specialty toy stores throughout the United States. It is also the only U.S. company that manufactures high quality, fire retardant teepees.
Poof-Slinky, Inc., which is in the midst of a yearlong 60th Anniversary celebration for its famous Slinky toy, will manufacture the product line under its Ideal brand and anticipates expanding its distribution. “We are pleased to have the opportunity to carry forward with this fine product line which has been in distribution since 1986,” said Dallavecchia. “The high quality of the T-N-T product line is consistent with Poof-Slinky’s Ideal brand. We have retained David Kidwell, former president of T-N-T, as a consultant to assist us in further development of the product line.”
