Company is “Ideal”
Plymouth,
MI - Poof Products, Inc., the leading
manufacturer of foam sports balls
in North America and maker of the
world-famous Slinky® and Slinky®
brand products has acquired substantially
all of the assets of Ideal Toy,
located in Ronkonkoma, NY.
Poof Products,
Inc. will continue to market Ideal
Toy products under the Ideal brand
as a division of its wholly owned
subsidiary, James Industries in
Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. Ideal
Toy is best known for its broad
line of tabletop action games, including
Sure Shot Baseball, Rock ‘N’
Pocket Pool, and Rack ‘N’
Roll Bowl.
According to
Poof Products, Inc. president and
CEO, Ray Dallavecchia, products
in the Ideal line complement the
existing mix of sports balls and
educational toys currently offered
by the Company. “We intend
to leverage our extensive distribution
channels at home and abroad,”
he stated. “Of course, we
plan to continue manufacturing most
of the Ideal products here in the
United States,” he added.
Michael Seiler,
president of Ideal Toy is in agreement
with Dallavecchia. “The synergy
between Ideal's product line and
Poof's product line is exceptional.
We are all very excited about the
opportunities that lie ahead."
